Shrimp Longrice Salad



Shrimp, longrice, w/onions, Chinese parsley, cherry tomatoes, shredded mango & chili peppers in special lemon-olive oil sauce.





Our cuisine is of Thai and South-east Asian. The main person behind Bangkok Chef is our chef/owner Sansane Pornchairatanakun. She's a native of Bangkok, Thailand and cooking is her passion. She once said that the one and foremost important ingredient in Thai cooking is a caring heart. The heart that cares about what goes through our mouth and into our body.


It wasn't difficult for us to search for a name for our restaurant when we began 17 years ago. Since Sansane is from Bangkok and the fact that she loves to cook, "Bangkok Chef" came to mind fittingly and spontaneously.

How Bangkok Chef began...

How we began...



From a produce market to Bangkok Chef



We started out as a produce market selling fresh island produce and Asian groceries back in 2001. One day as my wife Sansane was preparing our dinner, a lady customer came in and she smelled the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. when Sansane brought out our dinner the lady customer asked if we would sell it. We didn't sell that particular dinner then but we are now serving a lot of savory meals of Thai and Asian to a lot of happy customers.
